One of our more recent thrifting finds is a set of Anchor Hocking shot glasses in their original box. Â (The box calls them whiskey jiggers, but we like to drink whiskey in bigger glasses!) Â What’s so special about these shot glasses, you ask?
Well, they have some of the most hilarious graphics that we’ve seen in a very long time. Â Although we can’t be certain, we think these glasses were made in the early 1970s, just when conservation movements are beginning to get some national and international attention.
From left-to-right, the back of the glasses read: Reforestation Expert, Wildlife Manager, Game Warden, Water Conservationist! Â Great graphic designs AND hilarious puns? Â Now if we could only find the designer responsible…
you might get a copy of this.
If shotglass.org is right, these should be in the book, because it lists “Pickvet numbers” for them. Frex, the Wildlife Manager is Pickvet Catalog #:PPD339-1-80
@adm: OMG! I had no idea that existed! Cool!
